Kate Quoted
"I always had the most fun doing improv competitions in theater programs when I was younger, and that,s what I love about making comedies: the challenges of timing and physicality and improvisation."

It’s the time of year that every parent approaches with some trepidation – but for Kate Hudson, the start of the new school term must be more emotional than most.

For while many mothers will be dabbing away a tear as they wave goodbye to their child at the gates, poor Kate has to leave her lover on the other side of the world too.

The 31-year-old Hollywood starlet flew out of Heathrow and back to New york earlier today to take six-year-old son Ryder back to school, but was forced to leave behind British rockstar lover Matt Bellamy of Muse because of his European touring commitments.

Looking stunning in black blazer, matching black stiletto boots and white and blue pinstripe trousers with a white t-shirt, her son Ryder looked as glum as his mother to be leaving British soil and going back home.

Though with Ryder, that may be more to the prospect of returning to a classroom at his New York City school rather than leaving his mother’s new friend Matt behind.

Just yesterday, much like her groupie character Penny Lane in the 2001 music movie Almost Famous, Kate said she was so into her boyfriend that she would love to tour with Matt and his indierock bandmates.

She previously went on tour with her ex-husband Chris Robinson and his American heavy rock band The Black Crowes.

Kate, the daughter of Hollywood legend Goldie Hawn, even shared her farewell dinner at the Ivy in London with 32-year-old Matt with his bandmate Dominic Howard.

The trio then partied into the early hours around the corner at trendy Soho private members night spot, The Groucho Club.

Matt and Kate hooked up after meeting again in April at the Coachella musica festival in California, where Muse played.

They’d met before, but had previously be in relationships – but now they’re together and so loved-up, they look set to be the new Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow.

But right now, Matt has to get his head down and rehearse for his band’s biggest gig of the year.

Muse have a huge headline gig at Lancashire County Cricket Ground in Manchester this Saturday, followed by two more headlining arena dates next Friday and Saturday at Wembley Stadium.

However, it won’t be long until Matt flies out to the U.S. and a reunion with his moviestar love.

Muse embark on an American arena tour on September 22 in San Diego, California, which will take in two huge dates at the Los Angeles Staples Center on September 25 and 26.

The tour of the States finished at the end of October.

Kate meanwhile has also just finished filming new movie Something Borrrowed. A rom com also starring John Krazinsky and Ginnifer Goodwin, it comes out next year.
