The movie stars Kate Hudson as “a guarded woman who finds out she’s dying of cancer, but when she meets her match, the threat of falling in love is scarier than death.” Earthbound took a break on Monday and Tuesday which Kate Hudson took full advantage of. Tuesday, she was spotted at the Burberry Prorsum show in London alongside Mary-Kate Olsen, Kristen Stewart, Claire Danes and Mia Wasikowska. | ||

| February 17th, 2010 - Catherine Zeta-Jones Tops PETA’s ‘Worst-Dressed’ List | ||

| Note from the webmiss: I wouldn’t normally post things like this, but I wanted to give this some attention. I’m really disappointed that Kate partakes in this disgusting trend of wearing real fur. I won’t say anymore on this, except visit peta.org. Catherine Zeta-Jones might be known for her beauty and style – but PETA has crowned the 40-year-old actress as its biggest fashion offender on its annual “Worst-Dressed” List. “With her creepy cow-skin pants, ugly fox coat, and icky alligator bag, Catherine Zeta-Jones looks like she’s working her way through Noah’s ark with a knife,” the animal rights organization said of Catherine in a statement to Access Hollywood. “Maybe she’s trying to get into character for an upcoming role as a serial killer — or a taxidermist.” PETA is planning to hold a protest outside the actress’ Broadway play, “A Little Night Music.” before Saturday’s matinee. Jennifer Lopez, who PETA calls, “Jenny from the butcher block” is called out for wearing “old-school corpse coats.” Jessica Simpson received some harsh criticism from the group – they said her wardrobe choices “all resemble her career – dead.” And when it comes to Kate Hudson, the animal rights group questioned if her love of fur drove away ex-boyfriend Alex Rodriguez. “Kate, there’s no easier way to lose a guy in 10 days than by wearing a hairball,” the group said the statement. “Maybe your furs are the reason why A-Rod ran for home.” | ||
| February 17th, 2010 - INTERVIEW: Killer Inside Me director Michael Winterbottom | ||
| Posted by Jess in Uncategorized | No Comments » | ||
| How has it been received by the cast? I’m referring of course to the rumor that Jessica Alba walked out of the screening, and that Casey Affleck is somehow not behind the film, which I assume is bullshit. Yeah, there’s a lot of bullshit knocking around. Kate hasn’t seen it; she’s working on another film. Jessica’s seen it and liked it. She made a special effort to be here Sunday, but she left before the film started as she had somewhere to be. I saw Casey the other day, and he’s bogged down in doing his own film, so he hasn’t seen it. However, he’s coming to Berlin when we show it there, so there’s no problem. Well, the two victims DO love him, and neither fight back when he attacks them, and I think that’s why people have such a hard time with the film. How did you get Jessica Alba on board, who I thought was great? To be honest, I didn’t think she had a performance like this in her, which I suppose is somewhat prejudice on my part. Both Jessica, and Kate were really strong. In a way, the front of the film belongs to Jessica, while the second half is Kate’s. One thing I love about the book is that the attraction between Lou and Joyce (Alba), only takes about five pages to get going, so I needed someone who could grab the audience right away. | ||
| February 17th, 2010 - IFC gets ‘Killer’ instinct at Sundance | ||
| Posted by Jess in Uncategorized | No Comments » | ||
| In the early hours of Saturday morning, another Sundance sale closed. U.S. rights to Michael Winterbottom’s “The Killer Inside Me” sold to IFC Films for around $1.5 million. Casey Affleck stars as a murderous small-town Texas sheriff, along with Jessica Alba, Kate Hudson, Simon Baker, Bill Pullman, Ned Beatty and Elias Koteas. Based on Jim Thompson’s pulp novel and scripted by John Curran, film sparked some controversy at Sundance due to its explicit violent, sexual content. But IFC has a proven appetite for controversial fare, such as its 2009 Cannes pickup of Lars Von Trier’s “Antichrist.” Producers are Winterbottom’s longtime collaborator Andrew Eaton and Muse’s Chris Hanley and Brad Schlei. Dealmakers included IFC’s acquisitions head Arianna Bocco, WME Global topper Graham Taylor and Wild Bunch’s Carole Baraton. IFC Films is set to release the film in late summer through its theatrical and VOD platforms. | ||

| As usual when promoting a movie, Kate is on the cover of every single magazine in Australia. Well, almost There’s more new stuff for you today too! I’ve added screencaps and stills from Kate’s appearance on UK chat show Alan Carr: Chatty Man in December. I tried to make a video of it for you, but I’m having some problems getting it to work properly, so stay tuned and that will be up asap. It was a pretty hilarious interview! UK chat shows are so much looser and more informal than US ones, so we got to see even more of Kate laughing in this one. I’ve also added 2 videos from last months Golden Globes Awards – one from NBC’s Red Carpet Show, and one feeaturing show footage and Kate on stage presenting. Both vids are thanks to our video queen Brianne. Finally for now, new photos from last years UK Elle photoshoot were added to the Gallery a few days ago. ![]() • Alan Carr: Chatty Man – December 3rd 2009 – Stills x2 | ||

| What a night to be in New Orleans! In the Big Easy where she’s shooting a new movie, Earthbound, Kate Hudson didn’t miss the Super Bowl. The actress brought son Ryder, 6, and some friends and family to Morton’s the Steakhouse, where they took in the game on large screen televisions set up for diners. Hudson ordered a bone-in ribeye steak and was cheering on the New Orleans Saints! | ||
