I had to believe it and portray it honestly. It was important to people of that stature to hold their dignity, their status and their reputation. "
ť [about the accent] "Well it's RP, it's upper crust, a highly educated accent. It's not [in Cockney accent] all right then. It's not like the [Rolling] Stones. It's different. Interestingly enough, a very proper accent was more Americanized in those days."

WORTH WATCHING FOR...
... the scenes in the Sudan. Kate doesn't feature too prominently in this film, but the war scenes set in the Sudan are good to watch if you're interested in that area. The film doesn't really delve into the character's motivations, so you're left to admire the imagery rather than the characters.
