Sometime last week a 2nd trailer for Nine was released (scroll back through our news pages to find it; a downloadable version will be added here soon), and I've now added over 200 screencaps from it to the Gallery!
The very first official poster for Nine was released on Monday, and it was closely followed by a second and third one! A total of 5 posters have been added to the Gallery ... 3 of them are official theatrical posters, but I'm not sure about the other 2.
What do you think of the posters? Which is your favourite? Personally I love the 1st official one it looks very unique and fitting with the ‘theatrical’ style the film seems to have. I hope they release some individual posters for each of the cast/characters!
Nicole Kidman and her Nine director Rob Marshall are so besotted with Kate Hudson's performance in the film that they are urging her to consider doing a lead role in a Broadway musical.
The actress' Cinema Italiano number is one of the highlights of the much-anticipated new film, and it might help garner her an Oscar nomination in February (09).
Thus, Kidman and Marshall think that it's the right time for Hudson to take her musical skills to the New York stage. "I came into the rehearsal and I saw Kate dancing up a storm. That was my first day and I was very jet-lagged but I went, 'Wow, that was amazing.' I can't wait for people to see that part of her," Contactmusic quoted Kidman as saying.
The Aussie Oscar winner added: "Maybe she'll do a Broadway show out of this because she so deserves the lead in a show."
And her director, Marshall, said: "She (Hudson) has this hidden talent that nobody knows about. She opened her mouth to sing and there was this incredible singer and then when she moved I saw this proper dancer." "She was a knock-out and it was thrilling to discover. I'm so proud of what she did in this film," he added.

Last night our beloved Kate attended the American Music Awards with her Nine co-star Nicole Kidman. The two-some introduced their fellow co-star Fergie who performed at the event with the Black Eyed Peas.
As I explained the other day I currently don't have much time to work on this site (that will change later this week, so don't go too far ;) ), but I have found a few minutes to upload some fantastic screencaps of Kate & Nic presenting. Thank you so much to Brianne for these.

Sure, she's an actress and he's a World Series champ, but the couple made sweet music together backstage at the American Music Awards Sunday night.
After the pair palled around with Fergie in the chilly outdoor backstage area at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, "A-Rod gave Kate a big squeeze to keep her warm," says a source, "and a sweet smooch."
Hudson was, "beaming, glowing actually," adds the source.
Hudson, along with Nicole Kidman, who both star in the upcoming Nine with Fergie, introduced the singer-actress's performance with the Black Eyed Peas, while Rodriguez introduced Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, who sang their hit, "Empire State Of Mind."

Nicole Kidman is coming to the American Music Awards.
I can exclusively tell you that the Oscar-winner will be a presenter at the show on Sundaybut not for hubby Keith Urban... Ms. Kidman will join Kate Hudson to introduce the Black Eyed Peas.
Why? Well, Kidman, Hudson and Fergie are three of the mega-stars we'll be seeing next month in the musical movie Nine.
Kidman joins previously announced presenters Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Kristen Bell and Colbie Caillat.
The awards broadcast live from downtown L.A. on Sunday on ABC.

November 19th, 2009 - Kate Hudson Blasts Media Over A-Rod Rumors
Kate Hudson might be overjoyed about her blossoming relationship with New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez but she’s not happy about how their romance plays out in the headlines of tabloids and gossip magazines.
“If I were to sit with people who did these magazines, I would ask them, ‘Why so negative?’” Kate told Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos at the “Nine” junket over the weekend.
“You know, you build people up to destroy them. That’s sort of the game and it makes sense and you get it…but when you know them, and they are these beautiful people who really love what they do, they’re just like everybody else, even though we live in these sort of extraordinary strange circumstances where people are watching you,” she continued.
After the show [Oprah], we caught up with the women of Nine to find out a few of their favorites. Plus, what inspires these leading ladies? A backstage exclusive!
What's your favorite book? Nicole Kidman: My favorite book is War & Peace by Leo Tolstoy because it's why I wanted to become an actor. But it's not light reading.
Penelope Cruz: I have many, but I think the one I'm reading right now, I'm completely obsessed with. It's an Italian book from Margaret Mazzantini and it's called Venuto al Mondo. It's not out here yet, but it will be. And I think it's really a masterpiece. I just wake up in the middle of the night and start reading. I can't stop thinking about it. It's one of the best things I've ever read. It's a love story told in flashbacks. Part of it happens during the war in Sarajevo. I won't tell you anymore but it's really, really beautiful.

Marion Cotillard: There are many books I love. I think it was two years I read, it's not a book actually, but it's been published as a book. It's Harold Pinter's acceptance speech when he got the Nobel Prize. Actually, I know the title in French, but it might be the samethey might have translated. It's Art, Truth and Politics. Today, I would say this one.

The Nine ladies (and gentleman!) have been in New York this past weekend to do promotion for the movie. They all attended a press conference on Saturday, and have been doing numerous other interviews as well.
I've added 14 exclusive photos of Kate at the press conference - she looks absolutely gorgeous!

Very rarely does the opportunity arise in an interview where you can ask one of the biggest A-listers in Hollywood about centaurs, the half-man, half-horse creatures from Greek mythology. But that's just what happened when we asked Kate Hudson about the rumors stating her boyfriend, New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez, has a portrait of himself as the mythical beast hanging in his bedroom.
Hudson, instead of confirming or denying the rumors (which were originally reported by Us Weekly), just laughed when confronted with the question and faced with a mock-up of the alleged portrait.
"What is that?" she coyly asked when MTV News showed her the picture. "That's horrible. That is the craziest thing anyone has ever asked me."
To promote its upcoming holiday tentpole "Nine," the Weinstein Co. has turned to Disney in a big way.
In its largest promotion to date, Disney/ABC Unlimited -- the sales group that handles Disney's cross-platform media deals -- has sealed a megapact with Weinstein that will embed content about "Nine" on a wide variety of shows, including ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" and daytime sudsers.
Under the arrangement, a themed dance number on the Nov. 17 episode of "Stars" will be set to the "Nine" song "Be Italian." Dancers will also wear outfits from the movie.
Meanwhile, throughout the month of December, "Nine" will be written into episodes of "All My Children," "One Life to Live" and "General Hospital."

Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez is a changed man, and friends say Kate Hudson is to thank.
Once a ladies man best known for his relationship with Madonna (with whom Rodriguez's ex-wife famously - and embarrassingly - said in divorce documents he had once had an "affair of the heart"), the World Series champ is now settling in with Goldie Hawn's daughter, and kicking his flirtatious ways to the curb.
"Alex hardly looks at other women," an inside source told Fox411. "He used to love being a big flirt, he was very friendly and often met up with new girls. Alex is a changed man thanks to Kate. They are totally serious and he has given up some of his boys club habits."
Actress Nicole Kidman and Grammy Award-winning artist Carrie Underwood are among the celebrities scheduled to appear on "CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute," airing Thanksgiving night on CNN.
Underwood and three-time Grammy Award nominee Leona Lewis will each perform at the gala, which returns to the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood as the network celebrates its third year of honoring everyday people making a difference.
Kidman is scheduled to join celebrities Kate Hudson, Neil Patrick Harris, Pierce Brosnan, Dwayne Johnson, Eva Mendes and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as presenters. Additional celebrity appearances are expected to be announced in the coming days.

Thanks to Mara from my Nicole Kidman forum for the confirmation that Kate and her Nine co-stars (Nicole, Penelope, Marion & Daniel!) will be on Oprah on Wednesday November 18th. They filmed the show today, and audience members were treated to a screening of the film yesterday.

November 10th, 2009 - People's Choice Awards nominations
The annual People's Choice Awards nominations have been released today, and as usual Kate/her movies features, although this time in only one category - Bride Wars has been nominated for Favourite Comedy Movie. The film goes up against 17 Again, He's Just Not That Into You, The Hangover and The Proposal. Vote here!
The show will take place on Wednesday 6th January, and will air on CBS on that same day. You can see the full list of nominations here.

November 9th, 2009 - Kate Hudson Helps Alex Rodriguez Celebrate Yankees' World Series Win
After his team won their 27th World Series Thursday (5th) - beating the Philadelphia Phillies 7-3 - New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez and Kate Hudson hit NYC hot spot 10ak -- along with Rodriguez's mom, Lourdes Navarro, and his sister, Suzy.
They celebrated alongside Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter and his girlfriend Minka Kelly. Rodriguez, 34, and Hudson, 30, "got there at 2 a.m., but Kate left after a half-hour while A-Rod stayed close to 5 am.," a source tells Usmagazine.com. "Minka and Derek seemed really happy, as did they all, and didn't leave until 5 as well."
Since meeting Rodriguez this past May, Hudson has followed him closely during the winning season, attending games in Miami and Toronto.
Sophia Loren, Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz and Dame Judi Dench broke down in tears when they finished shooting movie musical Nine - because they had become such good friends on-set
The actresses enjoyed wining and dining together throughout filming and they couldn't bear to be parted when the shoot wrapped.
Screen veteran Loren says, "It was like being a family. We were so happy. Everyone thought that all these actresses together would start a fire or something, but we got on so well.
"Nicole Kidman had her baby with her all the time and seemed so contented when her husband (Keith Urban) came on the set; Judi Dench was so funny in that way only the English can be, and Penelope Cruz was very Spanish. We all sang and we all danced and we were drunk with music on the set. We cried when we parted, which is something that generally doesn't happen on films."
November 7th, 2009 - The Killer Inside Me Promo Trailer
Very exciting news - a couple of days ago a promotional trailer/preview for The Killer Inside Me was released! Thank you so much to our forum member 'bsbkate5' for alerting us to this! I'm not sure whether this is an official release, partly because the trailer is 5 minutes long. But it features some great footage - very intense and quite disturbing - and Kate looks (and sounds - southern accent!) fantastic. It is a complete 180, and then some, from anything she has ever done before, and that's really exciting to see. I can't wait to see more from this movie!

Kate Hudson was already slim but to play a terminally ill woman in her new movie, she had to really sacrifice.
The star of Earthbound tells British Elle that she gave up alcohol in order to lose 20 lbs. to play a woman suffering from cancer.
"I love my glass of wine. I love tequila," Hudson tells the magazine in its December issue, on newsstands Nov. 4. "To be in New York for two weeks and not have one beverage! I'm not sure I've ever done that."
Hudson, 30, shows off her svelte figure in the magazine's photo spread, wearing a skimpy black swimsuit and black leather gloves in some pictures.

November 3rd, 2009 - Empire (UK) December 2009 scans
As reported a few days ago, the new issue of Empire magazine has a 7-page feature on Nine, including interviews with all 7 women. I've added exclusive scans of the brief intro about the film + Kate's page. The interviews are short but pretty good, and Kate talks about her character, the musical genre, and her favourite musical.
On bloggers ... "It's like having a girl talk badly about you in high school. It's so juvenile and base. Not liking an outfit, OK, I get that. OK, let's all laugh at somebody's outfit. OK, you don't like it; you can make a funny joke about it. And if you have a good sense of humour, you can take it."
Her views on Botox... "I was in a press conference once, and someone says, 'So, I can tell you've never had Botox!' Is that a compliment? Or are you trying to say I'm starting to get wrinkles? I literally was like, 'What?' Everyone's so obsessed with who gets Botox, but it's great! Are you kidding? The fact that women can avoid going under the knife, and get a little Botox treat and not have to worry about it? I'm glad it's there for when it's time."
On the opposite sex... "I sometimes feel like when you're talking to boys, they just hear certain keywords... But if you had a bubble above their head, they'd be thinking about game scores, masturbation and food. I love boys... but I believe they're really simple. Every guy likes to say that they're complicated, but they're so easy to figure out. What did that Dr Laura say? Something like, 'All men want is sex and for you to make them a sandwich.' I thought that was really funny - and not entirely untrue."
