Hollywood actress KATE HUDSON is delighted KURT RUSSELL bonded with her husband CHRIS ROBINSON, because she feared her stepfather would disapprove of THE BLACK CROWES frontman.
The ALMOST FAMOUS star, who married the WISER TIME rocker and former drug addict on New Year's Eve in 2000, is thrilled the two most important men in her life share a similar temperament because it brings them all closer together.
She says, "Oh he (Russell) loved Chris. They are actually alike, which is weird, but on totally different spectrums.
"They are both actually quite rebellious. They're great together and so they have a really nice respect for one another."
