JET frontman Nic Cester has been named as the latest love interest for Hollywood yummy mummy Kate Hudson, with backstage whispers at the Big Day Out linking the pair to a steamy secret affair – and even a pregnancy.
While pictures of Hudson sporting a baby bump for her role in Fool's Gold have been used by global gossip sites as proof of the relationship, publicists for the Gold Coast-based film would not comment on reports the leading lady was involved with the Aussie rocker.
Last week, Brisbane concert-goers claimed Cester and Hudson, who met through her ex-husband, Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson, were "holding hands" at the Big Day Out, with Hudson channelling her big screen Almost Famous groupie character Penny Lane by waiting in the wings as Jet performed their set.
US magazine Life & Style also reported the 27-year-olds kissing at the Bowery bar in Brisbane on January 20.
This just days after Hudson was widely rumoured to have hooked up again with her former co-star Owen Wilson for another summer fling.
Yesterday, US websites dubbed Cester "Robinson-lite" for his apparent likeness to the American rocker, who befriended the Aussie band when they hit the big time in the US two years ago.
The speculation could spell the end of Cester's friendship with Robinson, who joined Jet onstage when the Aussie rockers performed at Los Angeles club Spaceland in December last year.
